Balustrades & Railings
Balustrades and railings are fitted wherever a staircase, balcony or terrace needs a barrier or handrail, built from stainless steel, toughened glass, or a combination of the two, depending on the setting and what's being enclosed.
We fabricate four types of balustrades and railings: pipe-only railing, pipe with toughened 10mm glass railing, 10mm toughened glass railing with spigots, and 10mm toughened laminated glass railing with studs.
Our balustrades and railings are built from stainless steel and toughened glass, both chosen for what they hold up against, not just how they look. Stainless steel resists the rust that ordinary steel develops in Mombasa's humidity and salt air, without the repainting an untreated or painted railing eventually needs. Toughened glass is several times stronger than standard glass, and if it's ever broken, fractures into small, blunt granules rather than sharp shards. That's a real safety difference for a barrier on a staircase, balcony or terrace, not just a durability one.

There aren't separate finish or glass options: glass thickness and treatment are built into each of the four types above.
Yes. Posts are securely anchored with base plates and multiple anchors, and the top handrail is built to resist horizontal force. Railing height is set so an adult can't easily topple over it, and gaps between balusters, cables or glass panels are kept narrow enough that a child can't pass through. For glass balcony railings, we use safety glazing, typically laminated, not ordinary glass.
